When the NHL decides it’s time to retire the Beach Boys, the band’s legacy is alive and well

By JOHN CASSANDRA SPORTS WEEKLY SPORTS Writer The National Hockey League announced today that the Beach Boy Band will return for a new season in 2020.

The Beach Boys were inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2010, and their legacy is all the more powerful when they play on ice at the National Hockey Stadium in Washington, D.C., or the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in Hawaii.

The NHL is also moving forward with plans to re-open the Beach boys’ home rink in Los Angeles.

In 2016, the team announced plans to move to the Anaheim Arena in 2019.

The band’s official website announced the reopening on July 1.

The band’s last performance will be on July 31, 2020, and will be held at the California Convention Center.
